Not surprising, but sad nonetheless. The New York City Mayor's office has officially cancelled this year's Village Halloween Parade.

We’d hoped progress was being made in Anoka, Minnesota, the site of a rash of suicides among gay youth, but a move on the part of the Anoka Halloween Festival Committee definitely isn’t sending a message of inclusion.
The festival committee has denied a request to allow Justin’s Gift, an anti-bullying youth group formed in memory of Justin Aaberg (a teen who took his own life), to march in the group’s popular parade on Oct. 27. The festival committee has also refused to answer community questions regarding its decision to deny Justin’s Gift members a spot in the parade.
Rebecca Krone, an Anoka mom, is leading a campaign on Change.org to allow Justin’s Gift to participate.

Thanks to Russia's draconian policies and arrest of feminist punk rock band Pussy Riot, we've said the five-letter P-word more this summer than ever before in our lives! Dad will be proud.
Madonna's protest of the band brought international attention to their imprisonment, but Jon Gnarr, the gaydored mayor of Reykjavik, Iceland, has kept the story in headlines thanks to a Drag Race-worthy appearance at his city's Pride parade over the weekend.

This video is making the interweb rounds today. Apparently this street preacher saw fit to erect a pulpit and spread the alleged "word of God" during LA's Gay Pride parade.
His sage advice? "Stop eating your poo poo!"
Watch as he instructs us, ever-so-lovingly, to take Jesus into our hearts (like him, clearly) after the jump.
