Success in Iowa! The Iowa Supreme Court has ruled that gay couples have a legal right to be listed on a child's birth certificate.

The ruling follows a suit filed by a legally married Iowa lesbian couple who were only allowed to have the biological mother listed on their child's birth certificate.

Arizona congressman Matt Salmon's gay son--also named Matt--is really making the rounds. He stopped by Anderson 360 to chat with the Silver Fox about his father's opposition to marriage equality.

We can't hate on him for taking advantage of any opportunity to get face time with Anderson, but we're curious as to what you think about Matt's relationship with his parents--both of whom are actively and vocally opposed to him having the right to marry the partner of his choosing.

It appears members of the Supreme Court aren't above stating outright lies.

Justice Antonin Scalia made the comment during Tuesday's Prop. 8 hearing that “there’s considerable disagreement among sociologists as to what the consequences of raising a child in a single-sex family, whether that is harmful to the child or not.”

Only that's not true. And considering he had an amicus brief submitted by the American Sociological Association (ASA) on that specific subject, he should have known better.

Many gay youth wake up worried about how they're going to get through the day, but some wake up to quite the different situation, apparently. A lack of sex education specified for LGBT youth and admitted ignorance lead what a lot of the Internet has labeled "the coolest parents, like, ever" to leave The Joy Of Gay Sex on their gay son's pillow.

Cue the One Million Moms in 3...2...1....

The Disney Channel had the audacity to briefly feature a family with same-sex parents as part of its "Make Your Mark" social outreach campaign.

The network has never featured openly gay characters so we're sure this means that the world is, in fact, coming to the end. That or the One Million Moms and their hate mongering ilk will simply be blocking Disney from their cable package.

Can filmmakers stop tugging at our withered heart strings with their emotionally resonant films showcasing the struggle, resiliance, and triumph of the LGBT communty. (Don't stop.)

Our friends at Towleroad showcased this lovely short from UK director Mike Buonaiuto. His film is part of the UK activist group, AllOut's "Invisible Parents" campaign and takes on the inequality of gay families.

Basically you can roll tape on anything showcasing two dads and we'll be reaching for tissue (TO WIPE OUR TEARS), but this one is special.
