A vote on marriage equality in Parliament is now threatened after reports that the Labour party could derail the entire legislation if it joins forces with Torys to vote in favor of granting civil partnerships to heterosexual couples. More on the potential hurdles below.

The Human Rights Campaign reveals that Time Warner, Inc. will become "the first major media and entertainment company" to implement tax equalization on benefits for employees in same-sex marriages or same-sex partnerships/civil unions. 

Basically, the company will be taking on the extra costs placed upon same-sex couples that do not received the same tax benefits provided to legally married heterosexual couples.
