Well it was fun while it lasted (but probably not so fun for him). Embattled Illinois Republican Party Chairman Paty Brady, who famously came out in support of marriage equality, has resigned. 

Since announcing his personal support of same-sex marriage, Brady has been under constant seige from his fellow party members seeking his removal or resignation.

Still, Brady maintains that's not why he's leaving his post.

Well this is special. Texas GOP Congressman Louie Gohmert gave an...unusual argument against gun control. 

Apparently the idea of limiting the number of rounds in a gun clip is a slippery slope--a slope that's very similar to the one created by the legalization of same-sex marriage!

Big news from the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center (LAGLC)!

The LGBT organization has done something unprecedented. Right now, about 80% of the LGBT leadership in China is at the Center for an advanced training program.  They're currently learning from more than 25 of the most seasoned LGBT leaders in the United States. 

This could have an huge impact on the Chinese LGBT movement.

Illinois Republican Party Chairman Pat Brady threw his support behind marriage equality earlier this month saying that same-sex marriage “honors the best conservative principles. It strengthens and reinforces a key Republican value – that the law should treat all citizens equally.”

Well, that's not going over too well with other members of his party, who have been quite vocal in their disagreement. 

Thankfully, Brady's not backing down.

Late last week the LGBT community and allies got a holiday gift in the form of another GOP lawmaker signing on to support the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act.

The Islamic extremist group that captured and threatened to kill 12 gay men via posts and pictures on Facebook has said it will handover the group to Libya's Ministry of Justice. Details follow.

Making more than a few of our fantasies come true, Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper enjoyed the Party Python on Wednesday's episode of Anderson Live.
