Love isn't in the air in Beverly Hills, where Unite Here (a labor union that has often fought for the LGBT community) has launched a boycott of the famed Beverly Hills Hotel. 

The National Geographic Channel, which is set to air the new Are You Tougher Than A Boy Scout series this spring, has been asked to denounce the BSA's anti-gay policies ahead of the show. 

Any Twitter user would love to see their updates illuminated to millions in over sized billboards on Times Square and at one of New York's hottest properties. Thanks to MTV's Staying Alive Foundation, Music Fights HIV/AIDS, Lifebeat and The OUT NYC, global citizens now have the chance to do just that by sharing tweets of hope with the hashtag #ArchesOfHope. We reported back in October on Angela McCaskill, the Chief Diversity Officer of Gallaudet University, who was placed on administrative leave after she signed a petition in support of a voter referendum on marriage equality in Maryland. (Many viewed this as a move in opposition of same-sex marriage.)

The issue garnered a lot of attention primarily because it had supporters on both sides of the issue coming together for McCaskill's reinstatement.

Well, three months later, Dr. McCaskill is back at her post.

We’d hoped progress was being made in Anoka, Minnesota, the site of a rash of suicides among gay youth, but a move on the part of the Anoka Halloween Festival Committee definitely isn’t sending  a message of inclusion.

The festival committee has denied a request to allow Justin’s Gift, an anti-bullying youth group formed in memory of Justin Aaberg (a teen who took his own life), to march in the group’s popular parade on Oct. 27. The festival committee has also refused to answer community questions regarding its decision to deny Justin’s Gift members a spot in the parade.

Rebecca Krone, an Anoka mom, is leading a campaign on Change.org to allow Justin’s Gift to participate.

Ellen DeGeneres made good on her promise to host Ryan Andresen, the teen that was dismissed from the Boy Scouts after completing Eagle Scout requirements once it was revealed that he was gay. 

While Ellen couldn't give Andresen the Eagle Scout award that he'd rightfully earned, she gave him something else that will positively impact his future.
