Turns out the Westboro Baptist Church's threat to protest Whitney Houston's funeral over the weekend was as empty as the heads playing home to their pioneer-era hairdos. (Jeez, if anybody needs a few filthy homosexuals in their lives it's the flat-haired women of Westboro.) Though they didn't make good on their protest promise, don't expect the clan's lead mouthpiece, Margie Phelps, to be honest about it.

Those Photoshop Professionals who we worried would find themselves out of work once the Kardashian decline is fully realized might be able to parlay their f*ckery right onto Beyoncé's staff, if new accusations are true. In 2008 L'Oreal was accused of lightening Miss B's skin tone to appear more Caucasian in a string of ads; now, Beyoncé's name is once again being associated with the post-production technique in new promotional images for 4.

Resorting to the stale tactic of utilizing the seediest images from Pride parades to paint a picture of the entire LGBT community, homophobes in New Hampshire have cherry-picked racy images to contrast with an opposite-sex helmed family seemingly out of a J. Crew ad. Equally as offensive, the anti-gay group has made clear their intentions to incite war with the copy written in the banner [sic]: "Whose values will NH Embrace? Don't let anyone trash your values."
There is enough wrong with this to fill a website with a day's worth of pointing out the hate group's harmful idiocy, but in the name of preventing carpal tunnel, why not just resort to the same myopic strategy aimed at destroying American families?

In commemoration of Princess Diana's 50th birthday on Friday, Newsweek has flexed its staff's Photoshop skill-set to imagine what the icon would look like were she alive today. Some (actually, a lot) are calling the two images, including a cover shot planting a 50-year old Diana next to Kate Middleton, distasteful. Take a look at the controversial cover and let us know what you think, after the jump.

Photoshopping an unwanted muffin-top into the ether or using the smudge tool to smooth out some wrinkles are one thing, but completely removing one of the key instruments in bin Laden's death raid from history is another. Story (and the Photoshopped image of the "Situation Room" shot seen 'round the world, minus one Sec. of State Clinton) after the jump.

Tags: photoshop, humor, jennifer lopez, divas, pop, barbara walters, 2010 ...is the latest promo pic for RuPaul's Drag Race season 3 the just-revealed cover for Jennifer Lopez's next album, Love.
This album cover was the most interesting revelation during Jennifer Lopez's segment on Barbara Walter's 10 Most Fascinating People of 2010 (I still don't get it), which aired Thursday night.
Who knew Jackie Beat's side-career as a fashion stylist and makeup artist was going so well? I mean, take a moment and consider those luscious lace-front lashes!

Tags: madonna, unretouched, photos, photoshop, louis vuitton, advertisment, divas Before and after's are usually skewed to present whatever product being marketed (Lapbands, Ephedrine, Tapeworms from Tijuana) in the best light possible. But after seeing the unretouched photographs of Madonna for Louis Vuitton, the best light possible can only be cast digitally by Photoshop. Yes, this might be a bit sacreligious, but we'll pray (as we normally do before bedtime) that baby Jesus forgives us for being such bad, bad boys.
Oh Madonna, like a Photoshop virgin, unretouched for the very first time...

Tags: body image, france, laws, publishing, photoshop Leaders in France are considering a law that would require a health warning on all editorial images that feature Photoshopped models. The proposed law aims to ease rising body image issues and eating disorders spurred by the retouching of photographs to make models appear superhuman (or inhuman, in some cases).
If passed, the warning will be placed below all altered images, reading, "Photograph retouched to modify the physical appearance of a person."
What do you think of the proposed health warning?
