Homo history has once again be made by San Francisco. A contingent of the city's courageous LGBT police officers have banded together to help the department become the first law enforcement agency to tell gay youth that "It Gets Better." Check out the SFPD's message, after the jump.

It was only last week when Palm Springs Police Chief David Dominguez issued an apology for a despicable homophobic slur he emitted during a controversial anti-gay sting last summer. It seems it was the last nail in the coffin of a Police Chief who has endured relentless scrutiny for countless anti-gay stings in one of the nation's leading LGBT communities. But the Palm Springs gay community might suffer no more as today Chief Dominguez has announced his resignation:
"After careful consideration of the recent debates surrounding the Warm Sands Law Enforcement Operation, I believe this decision is in the best interest of my family, my health, the Department and the City," Dominguez wrote in a press... FULL STORY

Northern California has been making some gay headlines recently—unfortunately for all the wrong reasons. UC Davis (my alma mater) was the scene of two recent attacks, which campus police are looking into as hate crimes. First, a Jewish student found a swastika carved into his dorm room door last week, and now homophobic slurs have been found spray painted on the LGBT center on campus.
Though students have been visiting the center and covering the messages of hate with messages of love, the center’s staff has said they will leave the graffiti up as an example of the intolerance that still exists.
