Nice! A gay Missouri high school student gets to take his boyfriend to prom following a decision by his high school administrators to change their policy barring students from bringing same-sex dates.

This past August the U.S. Department of the Navy quietly updated its policy, which now allows HIV-positive Sailors and Marines to take overseas assignments and serve on select large ship platforms.

The move was so quiet, in fact, that it's just become known to the public. 

Prior to the policy change, HIV-positive servicemembers were forbidden from stepping foot on foreign soil, including during peace time and in non-combat zones.

Last week we brought you the good news that Target had updated its donation policy in light of the year-long LGBT boycott. What we didn't mention (because we never would've guessed), was that Lady Gaga was the mediating party instrumental to the change. The retailer recently announced it will carry a special edition of Born This Way in May. It was during the talks over that deal, says Lady Gaga, that she voiced concern over Target's anti-gay past.
