It's not exactly news that many religious leaders aren't thrilled about the prospect of same-sex marriage.
It is, however, a little surprising to hear a Catholic leader in the United States go so far as to say that that Catholic individuals that support same-sex marriage should "refrain from receiving Holy Communion."
Basically, you don't have to participate in a same-sex marriage to be ostracized. If you happen to simply not be a bigot, then you should have to stop participating in one of the key traditions of your religious faith.

We love political ads that are so poorly done that they can't possibly be real...except for they are real and may actually make an impact with their misleading scare tactics.
Here's a great example from the pro-Romney super-PAC, Campaign For American Values.
The ad warns viewers that "Obama's trying to force gay marriage on this country.” You may not be able to handle all of the angst.

What do you think about this recently pulled ad opposing homophobic Senator Jim DeMint (R-SC)?
The question it seemingly intends to raise is: "Why is Senator DeMint's anti-gay sentiment acceptable?"
He's advocating that gay individuals should not be allowed to be teachers.
The ad raises this question by drawing a parallel between anti-gay sentiment and rhetoric versus anti-Semitic sentiment and rhetoric.
