Roughly 60 percent of the lower 48 is covered in snow. Brrr. What better way to warm up the body without raising the heat bill than with a review of the Top 10 hotties that made 2012 so abs-olutely delectable (with emphasis on "abs" for a reason)?

Take a stroll cruise down memory lane with us as Instinct's editorial team (Editor in Chief Mike Wood, Senior Editor Jeff Katz, Associate Web Editor Jonathan Higbee and Web Superstar Nigel Campbell) counts down the men who made us swoon the most throughout 2012. As we always ask at the New Year's Day after hours, who will find themselves on top?

Our eyes were wide open (though not in the fun Stanley Kubrick/Tom Cruise kind of way) throughout 2012 thanks to a year that was absolutely teeming with queer cinema. Whether it was on screens at film festivals, in indie theaters or in IMAX across the country, movies playing in every niche this year seemed to serve up some LGBT realness. Once again, Instinct's here to help distill an overwhelming amount of pop culture into a handy guide to the 2012 zeitgeist.

The Oscars may have bitches starving themselves to get their hands around a trophy and the Golden Globes might command love letter campaigns addressed to members of the Hollywood Foreign Press, but there isn't a movie prize quite as coveted as landing on our annual Top 10...

So, the Last Day of the World turned out to be just another excuse to drink with friends (not that we ever need an excuse.)

Should the Mayan Prophecy have held true, however, alien schoolchildren studying humanity’s final year would’ve learned the correct pronunciation of Ke$ha, how to have a proper kiki and other lessons thanks to a time capsule packed with the greatest pop-culture benchmarks of 2012 that we left in the office fridge next to a year-old carton of Coconut Water.

If the world had actually ended a few days ago, which pop songs would we have heartily co-signed as the absolute greatest in the history of histories ever in all of time combined for eternity in 2012? The Instinct editorial team (Editor In Chief Mike...

We're totally, like, not old enough to have seriously memorized the entire script of Clueless when it originally changed pop culture 17 years ago, but we can still way appreciate the cast reuniting for Good Morning Americaon Friday. Whatever. We totally didn't squeal or anything when we saw the cast of the Mean Girls prequel looking ferosh nearly two decades after they came into our our grandparents lives!

Neat trick: speaking in '90s Clueless style can serve as a sobering reminder of one's true age!

Check the reunion out after the jump as we go find a silk shirt to cry into.

Maybe just a little less controversial than the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize nominees is the pool of candidates who will vie for a NewNowNext Award a little later this year. So, who will be this year's contenders at the gayest awards gala (well, that might go to Tony Awards) ... the second gayest awards gala (well, that might go to the GLAAD Media Awards) ... the third gayest awards gala (a tie with the Oscars) on the planet?

Can Jenny McCarthy be the next Chelsea Handler? (Or was Chelsea Handler the next Jenny McCarthy a few years ago?) All the vodka Chelsea has inspired us to kick back in the name of research (yea, we'll blame it on Chelsea and research) has our memory fuzzy. Whatever the case, VH1 is hoping Jenny can bring some of the Chelsea Handler hot-chick-being-irreverent magic to the network in the form of a pop-culture talk show.

The Kardashians have been kash kows for the Photoshop industry and gay bloggers looking to pen quick topical jokes. But does word that the pretty sister helped raise $50,000 for the Trevor Project mean gays should lay off the Kardashian jokes, even ironic punchlines comparing Kim's 72-day marriage to our fight for equality?
