The controversial remarks attributed to Donna Summer in 1983 (which she denied the rest of her life) when she allegedly called AIDS god's punishment to the gay community haunted the rest of her career. Infamous gay organization ACT-UP began demonstrating against the singer in 1987 based on the rumored remarks and soon after received a letter expressing denial and regret. The organization published a few quotes from the letter decades ago, but today, POZ's Peter Staley (a former ACT-UP member) released the full telling letter. Check it out after the jump.
