The Pentagon has announced plans to celebrate LGBT Pride month!

Quite the turnaround from last June when an openly gay soldier could lose their job (and 13,000 gay soldier did over the course of DADT).

Looks like other members of the media are highlighting what we've known all along. Targeting the gays is good for business!

US News & World Report released an interesting piece on the niche marketing efforts of companies like Bud Light, Absolut Vodka, and Wells Fargo that are investing their dollars in the nation's various Pride festivals.

The reason? When these companies visibly support us, we support them as consumers.

Just in time for us to stumble across them all Pride weekend long, West Hollywood has given the intersection of San Vicente and Santa Monica Boulevard a very-easy-to-follow-even-after-one-or-four-cocktails makeover! After Lucas John proposed the idea and Martin Duvader designed the rendering, the city of West Hollywood turned the bland white crosswalk blocks into a vibrant rainbow of celebration on Thursday night.

For the first time, American Apparel, a gay friendly company already, has hired on a transgender model to be the face of a new national campaign. Isis King, former America's Next Top Model, will be seen by millions in ads that appear in pixel and print for AA's "Gay is O.K." campaign!

The Russian courts certainly seem intent upon raining on our gay parade.

Moscow city court has apparently upheld a goverment decision to turn down LGBT activists’ request for permission to hold gay pride parades for the next 100 years!

There is so much going on this weekend for Los Angeles Pride and it's got us all in a tizzy. (We're not exactly sure what a tizzy is, but we're in it!)

It's as if the City of Angels is being turned into our very own gay Wonderland.

We guess that's because it is!

L.A. gays might celebrate Pride a little early in the month, but worry not: like a bat signal for the gays, City Hall will shine lavender lights throughout June reminding the community of its heritage. 

Our insurance rates go up this time every year thanks to the devilishly distracting Pride month billboards courtesy of the Abbey that feature some of the most smokin' hot male models around.

To be safe, we've had our airbags tested in preparation for this year's selection of yummy billboards from the West Hollywood gay institution, which feature locals Jesse, Stephen and Matt in various states of undress. Lucky for us, the behind the scenes video from the billboard photo shoot can be viewed while we're not operating heavy machinery.
