It appears that no action will be taken by the Vatican with regards to Cardinal Keith O'Brien's sexual misconduct with four priests (those are just the ones that we know of).

Now that O'Brien's admitted to "unbecoming" sexual conduct, the Vatican sees no point in pursuing an investigation--or at the very least punishing him for his blatant hypocrisy as he vocally advocated against the rights of homosexuals while getting his rocks off with men in the rectory.

Shocking. (Not shocking.)

And they all come tumbling down.

Roman Catholic Cardinal Keith O’Brien, the head of the Catholic Church in Scotland and one of the most vocally homophobic opponents of marriage equality in the U.K. released a statement today admitting to sexual conduct unbecoming of a man of the cloth.

O'Brien had been accused of participating in "inappropriate acts" with five different priests. He initially denied the allegations, though he agreed to resign from his post.

Safe words are underrated these days. Isn't there a passage or two in Corinthians about the merits of safe S & M? Whatever the case, an Illinois priest has been granted a leave of absence after having to call 911 for help in being taken out of a personal set of handcuffs and a gag.

We're right up there in the North Pole alongside Santa Claus, as far as Paul Scalia, son of vehement homophobe Justice Antonin Scalia, is concerned. Looks like the rotten apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

They probably provide highbrow commentary on the intersection of religion and culture and politics or whatnot, but the preview art from the 2013 Orthodox Calendar leave us too distracted to complete a thorough dissertation.

Check out more images from the calendar that'll secretly hang in Pope Benedict's dungeoun beneath the Vatican after the jump!
