Cindy McCain, the wife of Republican John McCain, has become an outspoken advocate in support of the LGBT community in recent years and will be honored with the Trevor Hero Award at TrevorLIVE New York.

The DOMA Project has done a brilliant job of highlighting the injustices many LGBT binational couples face in light of DOMA rules. This week they brought us the story of David and Jason, a binational couple who have been separated 17 times under DOMA rules—despite being legally married in New York.

Matthew Vines, who received national attention last year when his hour long speech to his Kansas church on why the Bible isn't actually anti-gay went viral, is launching The Reformation Project "a Bible-based, non-profit to train, connect, and empower gay Christians to reform church teaching on homosexuality from the ground up."

Judy Shepard, LGBT activist and mom to slain gay hero, Matthew Shepard will be joining Katie Couric on Tuesday's episode of Katie.

According to the show, she'll be discussing Matthew's murder and how she helped change the views of a homophobic lead investigator assigned to the case. She'll also explain how she is carrying on Matthew's legacy today.
