Hate leaders across the nation are trembling with fear today after GLAAD unveiled its latest campaign, the much-needed Commentator Accountability Project. The new project sets to educate media outlets on the hateful, unscientific and dangerous rhetoric spread regularly by more than three dozen homophobes (such as Tony Perkins and Maggie Gallagher) who bill themselves as "pro-family experts" and social commentators. Their days in the national spotlight are numbered. Details on CAP, after the jump.

Rick Santorum has such a hard on for Kirk Cameron. It might have taken him a few weeks to react to the news (slow is a word that certainly applies to Santorum), but man, did he get excited when speaking about his anti-gay bedfellow with Piers Morgan over the weekend.

We've been keeping our good eye on Omaha, where proposed legislation seeking to protect the LGBT from discrimination has been debated by the community and City Council. In late February, a coalition of anti-gay churches published an ad opposing the LGBT protections law, which perhaps smoked out a mob of fired-up Christianists to let the crazy out during testimony this week. Follow the jump for video of a good ol' fashioned Bible-based bigotry bukkake party that took place in front of the Omaha City Coundil.

Jealous of that homosexual agenda he's been hearing so much about, Pope Benedict removed from his Birkin bag a gold-lined Prada day planner detailed with the 2012 homophobe agenda and shared it with U.S. Bishops on Friday. Details follow.

Maybe Cindy McCain should put that NOH8 tape back over her mouth for a bit and simmer down. First, she blamed the media for painting the GOP as anti-gay. Now she's rushing to defend Kirk Cameron, whom she says is not a bigot.

Oh, Michele Bachmann. The mental Olympics your disconnected thinking forces us to participate in means we can skip cardio this evening at the gym and have an extra margarita at Chipotle (yes, we even drink at Chipotle). On Monday night, Bachmann called CNN host Piers Morgan rude, told him that gay people should not have equal rights after insisting she is not judgemental, and then threw a tantrum while explaining the difficult hardships she faces in her chosen lifestyle as a bigot. Grab some popcorn and follow the jump to sit back and watch a bona fide train wreck.

Screw Santorum. How about Kristin Chenoweth for president? If conservatives are looking for a Good Christian Bitch to put in charge, Kristin seems more attuned to the tenets (and would put Obama's singing skills to shame!).
The of-and-on Glee guest star and new face of ABC's Good Christian Belles is once again explaining to folks that being Christian and pro-gay should not be mutually exclusive.
