Talk about trying to indoctrinate children! Maryland parents are enraged that anti-gay/ex-gay group Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) sent school kids home with homophobic flyers claiming that no one is "born gay" and that everyone chooses their sexuality. The Washington Times’ recent demonization of Obama Administration’s Kevin Jennings (Department of Education) has inspired Media Matters to curate a rather extensive snapshot of the publication's ongoing printed anti-gay rhetoric.

Some notable favorites include:

The Wash. Times use of “scare quotes” around “partner” and “gay marriage” in its articles

The Wash. Times lauds the Boy Scouts for being “one of the last remaining bastions of American culture that has not bowed to the gay agenda”
