The Supreme Court decision earlier this year to allow corporations to fund politics has already reared its ugly head (see Target's $150,000 donation to vehemently anti-gay MN politician) and shows every sign of becoming commonplace. So far, and as expected, it's only the right that benefits. Today the right benefitted to the tune of $1 million, a healthy donation made on behalf of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp (owner Fox News, NY Post and everything else, basically, except Instinct) to the Republican Governor's Association.
If this is a sign of how our political system will work from here on out, say goodbye to lawmakers who are fighting for the rights of the middle, lower and disadvantaged classes and hello to the new U.$.!
