Because clearly the school district has nothing better to do than regulate   a legal adult's self-identification, the Red Lion Area School District in Pennsylvania is refusing to call a transgender student by his chosen name at his high school graduation.

A California father isn't thrilled with the legislation that requires schools to include the accomplishments of the LGBT community in their curriculum.

In fact, he's planning to speak to the school board of the Capistrano Unified School District on Monday about the "re-education camps" this new legislation is supposedly creating.

Unfortunately, this dangerous misinformation is actually being spread by California's Clovis School District, which is teaching its students that "plenty of rest," going out in groups and a host of other silly ideas prevent STD infections. Not taught by the district as a method of prevention? Condoms!

There will be a lot of surprised teens in Clovis in the coming years, which is why a coalition of group has filed a lawsuit against the school district based on its sex (mis)education program. Details follow. 

The Alliance Defense Fund has fanned the dying month-old flames of the story out of Erie, Illinois concerning its school district banning books that mention same-sex parents. In a new legal filing, the Alliance Defense Fund supports the school district and lashes out at GLSEN for "indoctrinating youth." More on the eyeroll-inducing hypocrisy after the jump!

Utah's Davis County School District has launched a witch hunt to find and eradicate any children's book that mentions same-sex parents, gay youth or anything even remotely resembling tolerance of the LGBT community. Details follow.

Kids within the Erie School District of Illinois no longer have access to Todd Parr's The Family Book after it was banned for a brief mention of same-sex parents.

Lawyers for the Waynesville School District agreed on Wednesday to allow Maverick Couch to wear his "Jesus Is Not A Homophobe" T-shirt on April 20 to recognize the Day of Silence, the annual national event meant to show solidarity with gay students. A final decision in Couch's lawsuit against the school district is still pending.

Christopher Clark, a Lambda Legal lawyer, officially states: “We're glad that Maverick is able to wear his shirt on April 20th. However, a student's First Amendment rights are not restricted to one day of the year. We will continue to fight …”
