The Human Rights Campaign has recently released its 2010 Corporate Equality Index. While a record number of companies – 305 – earned perfect scores, the HRC and HuffPo have taken the time to highlight another important aspect of the annual studies: those few companies who rank poorly on the index.
According to the HRC, in 2010, the 10 worst-ranking GLBT-unfriendly companies are (with a handful of companies tying for the same low spots):
10.) Avnet Inc. (computer technology – no anti-discrimination policy)
10.) Ryland Group (home construction – no anti-discrimination or partner benefits)
10.) Vertis (communications – no anti-discrimination)
10.) YRC Worldwide (shipping – no anti-discrimination or partner benefits)
