It's a great year for gay cinema, if the iconic Seattle International Film Festival's LGBT lineup is any indication. Featuring some of our most looked-forward to movies of the year (GBF, Kink, Interior. Leather Bar., Pit Stop and more), the SIFF is again the go-to source for gay cinema found at a mainstream festival.

Seattle Seahawk Christopher Clemons isn't exactly excited that the NFL might soon become the most diverse pro sport in the country. When speaking on Twitter with fans about the possibility of a football star coming out within the next few months, Clemens decides it would be a "selfish" thing to do that divides whichever team he's on.

We shared with you the exciting news last week that Dan Savage and Terry Miller (creators of the "It Gets Better" project) were among the many couples we got married in Washington state. And now we have the wedding portraits!

Nate Gody and Jennifer DeLeo from Seattle Gay News have released candid shots that convey a salient sense of joy unmatched in other media images from the big mass wedding that took place at Seattle City Hall on Sunday. Nate and Jennifer were some of the only professional photographers allowed inside City Hall to document the big day, a fact that allowed them a unique perspective of history. After the picture taken when they received their marriage license last week quickly went viral, the famous "Seattle bears" couple Larry Duncan and Randy Shepard knew the world would be watching when they officially exchanged vows on Sunday—so they spruced up. A lot.

Meryl Schenker's photo of Larry Duncan and Randy Shepard, taken as they received their marriage license in Washington yesterday, has had more 12,000 shares on Facebook. It's easy to see why: the unconventional gay couple shatters stereotypes perpetuated by homophobes and anti-gay groups such as the Family Research Council not only in appearance, but in their 11 committed years together. 

When told that his "wedding photo" went viral online, Randy laughed and said, “That’s just who we are."

Hundreds of same-sex couples planning to tie-the-knot at Seattle City Hall on Sunday as part of Dan Savage's mass gay wedding were in need of an equally impressive number of judges to officiate the ceremonies. So, nearly a dozen judges announced today that they will volunteer their time and chambers to marry the couples as needed for the big celebration!

Gay and lesbian couples in the Seattle and Olympia areas started lining up at midnight to obtain some of the first same-sex marriage licenses in the state. Dan Savage and husband Terry Miller (who married in Canada in 2005) were part of the historic group. More photos and details after the jump!

There will be more rice found at Seattle's City Hall on Sunday than all the P.F. Chang's after 140 same-sex couples tie the knot in a mass wedding organized by Dan Savage. 

Corporations aren't the only entities that can expect to receive a grade card from the Human Rights Campaign each and every year; now cities risk getting a ruler to their hands if they fall short on equal civil rights for their LGBT populations. 

With the HRC's first ever Municipal Equality Index making its debut, which American cities have earned a top score on its LGBT-friendlines—and which have a lot of work to do?

Dan Savage, a Washington resident, took a moment out of patting the LGBT community's back to applauding the oft overlooked straight allies who helped bring marriage equality to the Evergreen State.

One of the most widely used images each and every Pride month is that majestic view of an oversized gay pride flag waving atop the Seattle Space Needle. At least we'll always have the pictures, because, once again, folks at the city's best-known landmark have decided not to re-raise the rainbow stripes over Seattle.
