Lawyers for the Waynesville School District agreed on Wednesday to allow Maverick Couch to wear his "Jesus Is Not A Homophobe" T-shirt on April 20 to recognize the Day of Silence, the annual national event meant to show solidarity with gay students. A final decision in Couch's lawsuit against the school district is still pending.

Christopher Clark, a Lambda Legal lawyer, officially states: “We're glad that Maverick is able to wear his shirt on April 20th. However, a student's First Amendment rights are not restricted to one day of the year. We will continue to fight …”

Talk about trying to indoctrinate children! Maryland parents are enraged that anti-gay/ex-gay group Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) sent school kids home with homophobic flyers claiming that no one is "born gay" and that everyone chooses their sexuality.
