We loved director Jeffrey Schwarz powerful, funny, and inspiring documentary, Vito, when we saw it at as the opening night gala presentation at Outfest on July 12!
The doc presents the life of one of the gay rights movement's preeminent activists, Vito Russo. Russo also authored the famed book, The Celluloid Closet, which tracked and archived LGBT presence in cinema to beginning of the artform.
HBO Documentary films is airing Vito this week.

House Representative Barney Frank (4th District, Massachusetts) became the first gay member of Congress to marry a same-sex partner on Saturday! He married his new husband, Jim Ready, at the Boston Marriott hotel in Newton, Massachusetts.
Barney and Jim have been a couple since 2005.
