The 455th season of American Idol debuts next week so of course its time to pimp out the catfight (however authentic or marketing-department orchestrated it is) between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. The elder diva, Mimi, sat down with Barbara Walters on Nightline this week to discuss the feud and immediately won the entire fiasco, hands down, ankles up, with a simple eye-roll and sassy line delivered with perfection.
Hand over all the awards and meet us after the break to watch as Mariah throws down the SHADE OF IT ALL.

So, the Last Day of the World turned out to be just another excuse to drink with friends (not that we ever need an excuse.)
Should the Mayan Prophecy have held true, however, alien schoolchildren studying humanity’s final year would’ve learned the correct pronunciation of Ke$ha, how to have a proper kiki and other lessons thanks to a time capsule packed with the greatest pop-culture benchmarks of 2012 that we left in the office fridge next to a year-old carton of Coconut Water.
If the world had actually ended a few days ago, which pop songs would we have heartily co-signed as the absolute greatest in the history of histories ever in all of time combined for eternity in 2012? The Instinct editorial team (Editor In Chief Mike... FULL STORY

We've all been bellowing Rihanna's "Diamonds" since it came out, but we have to admit, we've been curious about what the Sia-penned song would sound like straight from the pipes of its creator.
Sia delivered an acoustic rendition of the smash hit at the Norwegian-American Achievement Award Ceremony on Wednesday, and we have to say it's pretty gorgeous.
We can definitely hear Sia's influence on Rihanna's vocal take. Check it out after the jump!

If Rolling Stone is right, then Lady Gaga's next album Art Pop might usher in an era of rap for Mother Monster.
At Mugler's spring/summer 2013 fashion show in Paris (for which Gaga served as music director), the pop star debuted more than just what many are calling a new song—she also seems to have debuted her rapping abilities. Yep. Madonna certainly never tried that on "American Life" or anything.
So, does Gaga have the flow? Follow the jump to check out "Cake Like Lady Gaga" (featuring a warped vocal track from the superstar and a guest spot from an unnamed rapper) and let us know what you think of MM's rapping abilities!
