Breaking news from the Associated Press that Steve Jobs has died at 56 years old. The Apple co-founder resigned from the company just two months ago.
Apple's Board Of Directors has released the following statement:
We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today.
Steve’s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve.
His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.

GLAAD wants to ensure the Manhattan Declaration stays off iDevices everywhere and, provoked by the cheapish ad NOM spent five minutes throwing together, has released a statement.
The 'Manhattan Declaration' calls gay and lesbian couples "immoral," it calls the recognition of their relationships "false and destructive," and claims that allowing them to be married will lead to "genuine social harms." The original application also contained a quiz in which the "right" answers were those that oppose equality for gay and lesbian people.
