A new study out of New York University reveals that mental health burdens are playing a key role in the spread of HIV among young black and Latino men.  The study finds that the "burdens of racism, homophobia, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder contribute to the HIV epidemic among both groups.

In the first study to compare and track the progress over time of high-risk children adopted out of foster care by gay, lesbian, and heterosexual couples, it's been found that children "adopted from foster care by gay parents fare equally in their cognitive and emotional development as those adopted by heterosexual parents."

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) has released a new report today that finds that LGBT youth that are out to their immediate family or at school report "higher levels of happiness, optimism, acceptance, and support."

The report came from survey of over 10,000 LGBT-identitified youth.
