While the fight for marriage equality certainly isn't over, the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is already looking ahead to the next challenges our community will have to rally together to face.
The momentum in terms of marriage is unstoppable, but what about the Employment Non-Discrimination Act which serves to protect LGBT people in the work place? What about immigration reform so that LGBT binational couples aren't unjustly separated? Keeping LGBT youth safe? Making sure our elderly community members are protected and taken care of?

As they work towards making a decision on whether or not to lift the ban on gay members in the Boy Scouts, the BSA has distributed a 13 question survey to 1.1 million adult members including Scout alumni, parents, volunteers and leaders.
The survey asks members about hypothetical situations that may occur and how they feel about them. It also include questions that allow members to answer based on a scale of the strength of their feelings as well as yes-or-no questions and some that allow open-ended responses.

Though the gayest U.S. state happens to be whichever one we're in at the time, Gallup has a different idea thanks to a massive 200,000 person study. While the rainbow might shine brightest in D.C., Gallup notes that these kinds of studies always include the caveat of people possibly not answering truthfully.
