One of the few things about group sports we learned from Chi Chi LaRue: when one man goes down, they all go down. This morsel of wisdom recently came to life in Sweden, where an entire football team was suspended for one year by its management for using homophobic slurs on field against a mixed-orientation opposing team. 

Susan Johnson, the Detroit-area middle school teacher who was suspended without pay for playing Macklemore ode to marriage equality, has been reimbursed for her suspension.

Father Marcel Guarnizo has plenty of times on his rosary-laced hands now that he's been suspended by the Archdiocese of Washington. In fact, he's utilized a healthy portion of his new-found freedom to write a lengthy statement to the Catholic News Agency, explaining his side of the allegations that he turned a woman's funeral into a homophobia freak show. Asante Cotman, a 17-year-old gay student in Virginia, was suspended for three days after wearing high heels to school and refusing to take them off.

Clearly, the school’s administrators don’t understand the concept of an “outfit.” A gay’s ensemble is not to be messed with.
