As expected, the American Family Association, parent organization of boycott happy One Million Moms (which makes AFA a meemaw, we guess!), is ready to put Target in its bulls-eye over that new line of Pride t-shirts we told you about yesterday. 

Target is really aiming (hardy har) to get on our good side these days!

Though higher ups at the bulls-eye insist the new line of Pride t-shirts has zilch to do with that massive 2010 donation to anti-gay politico Tom Emmer, with 100 percent of sales going to the Family Equality Council, would criticizing the retailer nowadays just be splitting hairs? (Details follow.)

Today, a little over a year after Target lost its case against a pro-marriage equality group for canvassing outside a San Diego store, the bullseye retailer announced big news: a drool worthy line of home products from gay designer Nate Berkus will debut exclusively with the retailer this fall.

But with that huge $150,000 donation funding anti-gay causes still seared in our Mary minds (and the company's less than satisfactory handling of the resulting PR nightmare), are gays ready to celebrate the just-announced gay partnership?

Guess it's too soon for Target.

The bulls-eye retailer has pulled a lame-at-best jokey card using Whitney Houston as a punchline after learning it was sold on store shelves.

Dear AFA, attack the politics and the media, if that makes you feel better. Attack HRC, the Task Force, even attack GLAAD, because they are built to take your lies and hate. But to attack an organization that has saved the lives of countless youth is shameful and pathetic! Details after the jump.
