Julianna Margulies, star of The Good Wife, asked her agent to give her options to play a role "completely different" from her award-winning character on the hit series. Turns out that a script about a lesbian porn star (though not a porn) was too different...

After last week's failing grade from GLAAD, CBS execs say they are disappointed with the level of GLBT visibility on the network and promise change is coming. 

"We know, and we will do better," said CBS President Nina Tassler. "[We'll] look for every opportunity we can to improve the numbers [of gay characters] we have represented in the cast. And we'll continue to focus on that as we go into development season. We're not happy with ourselves."

She also promised some changes as early as the new fall schedule, where The Good Wife, $#*! My Dad Says and Rules of Engagement will introduce new gay characters.
