The Pentagon has agreed to meet with the partners of gay and lesbian sodliers in what is believed to be the first meeting of its kind. Possibly sparked by SLDN's current letter writing campaign (which you can read daily here at InstinctMagazine.com), the historic event will take place on September 16.

"We have been pushing for partner input into the review process for quite some time," said Alex Nicholson, executive director of Servicemembers United, which helped arrange the meeting. "We are glad that the Pentagon recognizes the value of input from these silent heroes."
