Four gay men were attacked at a recent Lafayette, Louisiana showing of The Guilt Trip. A man, seated with his children behind the victims, began spewing anti-gay slurs directed at the group of gays. After being asked to stop, he physically assaulted one of the men by punching him in the back of the head. Details follow.

Doesn't it seems like TV and basic cable producers of today pillage the entries gay men list in their "Interests" section on Facebook to come up with "fresh" ideas? Our gaydored and cherished classics are being reworked left and right (Steel Magnolias, the most recent offender) with no end in sight, turning each and every queen across the country into Chris Crocker, crying "Leave *insert gay cult classic here* alone!" on a YouTube video.

The latest from the gay zeitgeist to receive a modern day makeover, courtesy of NBC, will be The Sound of Music. But the twist on this classic comeback actually holds some promise.
