A Jackson, Tennessee man who shouldn't be allowed to have pets is having his dog killed because of normal canine activity. The man apparently noticed his male dog humping another male dog and immediately took the pup to a local shelter to be euthanized "because he's gay."

Our smarty-pants friends over at Think Progress are taking a look at the next seven states that could expand rights for same-sex couples.

Yeah, we know, we're still celebrating our victories from the Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, and Washington, but hey, we've got the momentum, it's no time to rest on our laurels!

See which states Think Progress is highlighting after the jump!

Updated Monday, 2 p.m. EST

GLAAD and the Family Equality Council have put on their muck boots, yellow gloves and sanitary masks and stepped in to Rupert Everett's anti-gay mess.

So, what what do the LGBT organizations have to say to the gay actor for unleashing homophobic comments about same-sex parents over the weekend?

Instantly regarded as the best performance of the night, Frank Ocean slowed down the deluge of dance music and provided a moment of realness amidst the siliconed stars (looking your way, Miss Minaj) with his raw performance of "Thinkin Bout You."

Check out Frank's big VMA moment and host Kevin Hart's commendation of the out hip hop star, after the jump.

Hate group leaders and former Dbag of the Day crown holders Peter LaBarbera (of the Americans for Truth About Homosexuality) and vehement anti-gay activist "Pastor" John Kirkwood have decided that Dan Savage won the Bible/same-sex marriage debate against their homophobic colleague, Brian Brown.

I've been waiting to hear Christina Aguilera unleash a shade of bitch so ferocious that it disentegrates the shellackle of red varnish permanently affixed to her lips over this whole Britney on The X-Factor thing.

Did we get our wish after XL-Tina finally chimed in on Brit Brit creeping into her reality show judging game?

We initially clicked on gay comedian Todd Glass' PSA for the Gay, Lesbian, & Straight Education Network expecting a laugh.

Yeah, no laughs.

This is decidedly unfunny, but in 30 seconds it packs a very powerful punch.

Check out the PSA (part of GLSEN's "Think Before You Speak" campaign) after the jump.

With the Modern Family cast, Dustin Lance Black and a handful of Gleeks peppering the audience at this weekend's White House Correspondents' Dinner, one could easily say it was the gayest event of the annual series' history yet. But, surprisingly, what happened on stage might have actually been gayer than the rainbow of primped and preened folks sitting in the audience that night.

Follow the jump for a video courtesy of Think Progress compiling all the gay jokes made during the gala, including President Obama's "It's Raining Men" punchline and Jimmy Kimmel's jab at Santorum's sweater vest collection!
