Just as Carly Rae Jepsen's viral smash finally reaches its rightful place at the top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart, Colin Powell's entry into the cover craze pretty much secures the track the "Song of Summer" title, too.

Out-lesbian country sensation, Chely Wright (and this month's guest on our Soapbox, both here on the site and in our "Pride" issue of Instinct) visited CBS This Morning for a sit-down with Gayle King.

(Cue the obligatory Gayle and Oprah gay joke. Now that that's out of our systems we can move on because this is serious business!)

Chely touched on her coming-out process, wrenchingly detailed in her new documentary, Wish Me Away, as well as her guilt over the "cruelty" of dating men (including country superstar Brad Paisley) in order to remain closeted, and the country music industry "freeze-out" that she's had to deal with since showing the world her authentic self.
