American Idol producers knew exactly what they were doing when they decided to mix a potent cocktail (our favorite kind!) by hiring certified DIVA Mariah Carey and outspoken Queens-born Nicki Minaj as judges. On the same panel. At the same time. It's like trying to mix olive oil and water. Or, if you'd like an example using items from Mariah Carey's celebrity rider, it's like mixing rose petal bath water at exactly 102 degrees and a case of Cristal champagne with a side box of bendy straws; it just doesn't work. 

The grade school experiment was shown off at a recent American Idol audition after the two judges disagreed about a contestant's abilities which lead Nicki Minaj to reportedly threaten to "knock out" Mariah.

Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu, the rising conservative star who earlier this year made headlines for allegedly threatening to have his immigrant gay ex deported, has been cleared of all charges.

This comes after his decision to end his congressional campaign and his subsequent successful re-election campaign as Sheriff of Pinal County.

The U.S. Consulate General in St. Petersburg has issued an advisory for Americans planning to attend Madonna's MDNA tour stop in the Russian city on Thursday after credible threats of anti-gay violence were received. 

Instead of backing down, Her Madgesty has amped up the visibility and given a middle finger to the city's infamous ban on "gay propaganda."

Police have charged Alexandra Pennell, an openly gay 19-year-old student at Central Connecticut State University with eight felony counts of fabricating evidence, eight misdemeanor charges of lying to police, eight misdemeanor counts of filing a false police report and one count of making a false statement to police, after they discovered the source of anti-gay notes that allegedly had been left for her by an unknown perpetrator. 

It turns out she'd been writing the notes herself as a cry for attention.

According to reports, the D.C. office of the Human Rights Campaign and the office for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force were evacuated after police passed along credible bomb threats. 

Staff have since returned to the HRC office following the "all clear" from D.C. police, but the story concerning the NGLTF is still developing.

First their unsuccessful threats to boycott JC Penney for hiring Ellen turned the retail partnership into an international media frenzy, doing wonders for the store. Now, a threatened boycott of Archie Comics due to the brand allowing its gay character to wed has lead to the issue in question SELLING OUT. Jeez, with how well the subjects of a One Million Moms boycott end up doing, perhaps the organization will threaten our non-existent six pack or our Etsy store?

We may, from time to time, joke about the blurring of the line between our hot TV crushes and reality, but those wild fantasies are usually the products of two or seven cocktails and a dry spell even Tim Gunn would shake his head at. But fans of Klaine (Glee's token gay couple, Kurt and Blaine) took the detachment from reality a little too far recently by issuing death threats to actor Grant Gustin for playing a character who's attempting to weasel his way between the couple.
