Mitt Romney continued his denigration of segments of the American population at the Univision/Facebook town hall on Wednesday night when he was asked what he'd do if his children or grandchildren happened to be homosexual.

Maybe Gov. Chris Christie should take more time to read up on the issues he's governing in New Jersey? Just a suggestion.

Speaking with students at a town hall, Christie denied vetoing gay rights last week and instead got himself into a sweaty game of semantics ping pong. Well, he could use the cardio. 

His recent stalling and silence on the matter has spoken volumes, but today Gov. Chris Christie has finally spoken about New Jersey's marriage equality bill that's gained steam in recent weeks. So, what does Gov. Christie have to say?

While President Obama's Department of Justice lawyers were in California filing a stay with the courts, Obama himself was at an MTV Town Hall, explaining to the country's youth that there's just nothing he can do by himself to end DADT. (The Palm Center, just one example of many legal scholars who disagree with the president, points out exactly how he might be wrong.) Meanwhile, the DOD and military commanders around the world have announced they will NOT enforce DADT at the moment. Confusing?  Like usual, Rachel Maddow helps us wade through the muck.

No wonder my NYC friends advise me to avoid New Jersey -- even a disabled woman in a wheelchair with two incurable diseases can't avoid aggressive heckling. The below video report from The Star-Ledger showcases the heckling, and does a fantastic job at highlighting the low points these town halls are reaching. (After arguing with the wheelchair-bound woman, the same hysterical cult crowd yelled "It's your fault" to a woman nearly in tears because her disabled daughter had been dropped from her blind husband's insurance plan.) Frightening.
