The National Organization for Marriage is blatantly employing its notorious "race baiting" strategy in North Carolina ahead of the presidential election. In ad spots purchased on R&B and gospel radio stations in the state, NOM voiceover actor Pastor Patrick Wooden tells North Carolina African-Americans to ditch their vote for Obama due to his "strong endorsement of the homosexual movement."

Take it with grains of strawberry-flavored salt rimming your lunchtime margarita (is it obvious that we're looking forward to something?), but NY1 is reporting that director Julie Taymor has left her baby of nine years, the Broadway musical Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark. The scoop comes just after production staff leaked info that the beleagured musical now faces another delay, this time a three-month "reconfiguring" that pushes the show's opening to early summer.

The poor Broadway cast of Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark has been subjected to more physical harm than innocent bystanders caught up in the filming of a Jersey Shore bar scene. Over the weekend Christopher Tierney, a stunt Spiderman in the show, fell 20 feet after a safety rope gave out, resulting in a premature ending to the show and a rush to the hospital. (He is OK.) The latest accident is only one of a handful of incidents plaguing the multi-million dollar production, but is the last line for some Broadway actors who have called for the end of the show.

Tony-Award winning Alice Ripley Tweeted this:

"Spiderman should be ashamed of itself. This is completely unacceptable and embarrassing to working actors everywhere."
