American Independent investigative reporter Todd Heywood has looked into the validity of the story put forth by Uncle Poodle (government name: Lee Thompson). Based on multiple red flags, Heywood believes the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star may have lied about sending his ex to prison for undisclosed HIV status.

One of the standout reasons Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was celebrated by gay audiences in 2012 is the show's inclusion of the star child's uncle, Lee Thompson. Known better as Uncle Poodle, he helped Honey Boo Boo become a gay ally at a very young age with sound bytes ready to compete with the best of 'em. (Remember "everybody's a little gay"?).

Now, Uncle Poodle might be inspiring southern tolerance in new ways after also coming out as HIV positive.
