Earlier this week we saw an updated marriage equality map for the U.S., but today ILGA is giving us a glimpse of LGBT rights across Europe—ranging from full equality to gross violations of human rights. Check out the color-coded findings below.

The House of Commons passed marriage equality on Tuesday evening by a large majority! In a vote of 400 to 175 (a majority of 225), MPs have voted for same-sex civil marriage in the United Kingdom. 

The real British game of thrones is about to get a lot more convoluted (and queer-er) if a new proposal from MPs comes into fruition. The plan, if enacted, would allow first born females and first born LGBT the same claim to the throne that's currently limited to straight boys. 

The Coalition for Equal Marriage announced today that for the first time, a majority of MPs have revealed support for same-sex marriage rights in the U.K.

Culture Secretary Maria Miller announced plans to introduce a marriage equality bill in Britain next year, but revealed that the Church of England and Church in Wales will be prohibited from participating.

Following California's lead, the United Kingdom's Department of Health has outlined its official position to identify "ex gay therapy" as a harmful practice with no benefit. 

A British man was placed under arrest by transit police after he unleashed a deluge of anti-gay craziness directed at two gay men seated behind him on a train. The victims filmed the exchange resulting in a education video teaching basic bigot bitches what not to do when traveling alongside the LGBT if they wish to remain out of handcuffs. Scottish Cardinal Keith O'Brien was honored with Stonewall's annual "Bigot of the Year" award Thursday night in London for such hits as comparing marriage equality to slavery and child abuse and spreading rumors that homosexuality destroys a person's soul. Though the Cardinal was not on hand to provide an acceptance speech, many Christians have filled the vocal void with sharp criticisms of the internationally known LGBT group that handed out the award.
