Lt. Dan Choi was found guilty of a misdemeanor in Federal Court on Thursday and has been ordered to pay a $100 fine following his arrest for refusing to leave the area in front of the White House while protesting "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

But it was anything but a normal day in court. Things got quite dramatic as Choi defended himself without a lawyer and succumbed to "emotional outbursts."

110 members of the House of Representatives submitted a letter to President Obama, today, requesting that he sign an executive order banning employment discrimination by federal contractors on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. 

Former Minnesota House Rep. Lynne Osterman gave an emotionally resonant speech today, explaining why she now regrets her vote for Minnesota's version of the Defense of Marriage Act.
