Paul Ryan may not be Dick Cheney Lite vice president-elect, but he wisely chose to keep his name in the running for his House seat in Wisconsin and there he won.

An unofficial source who claims to have been standing next to Linda Carragher Bourne (and also claims to be a friend of hers) has given his own clarification of what Vice President Joe Biden actually said.

We pondered whether Biden had called LGBT equality "the civil rights issue of our time" while other sources have quoted the press pool as saying Biden used that description specifically for transgender discrimination.

The “Civil Marriage Protection Act” is being debated today on the House floor, in what promises to be a very close vote.
