After some consideration, quirky indie-pop artist Vincent Minor is finally OK with the descriptor “openly gay” that for years the media has employed in his interviews and profiles. But, as it should be, the second one listens to the wrenching, expertly-crafted compositions on Vincent’s eponymous debut, his primary designation as “gay” deteriorates into the ether, replaced with a new slew of adjectives (“refreshing,” “enigmatic,” and “game-changing” come to mind).
