Virginia Republicans continue to show their love for the gays...by nominating the most aggressively anti-gay candidates possible.

This weekend Virginia GOP delegates nominated virulently anti-gay, Tea Party extremist E.W. Jackson as their Lieutenant Governor nominee. He joins a gubernatorial ticket led by state Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli. You remember Cuccinelli. He's the one that tried and failed to keep Virginia's anti-sodomy laws on the books, despite them being declared unconstitutional.

As for Jackson....well, he makes Cuccinelli look like Obama.

Check out his track record of opposition to the gays after the jump.

But the people have a right to know!!

Virginia Attorney General (and gubernatorial candidate) Ken Cuccinelli petitioned a federal court in an attempt to get a reversal on the ruling that Virginia's "Crimes Against Nature" law is unconstitutional.

The "Crimes Against Nature" law bans oral and anal sex between consenting adults.

Cuccinelli has been outspoken in his belief that gay sex is "unnatural" and that laws should be in place to prohibit it, though he's been pretty silent on whether or not he objects to a little oral action between men and women.

We're curious to see how far this will go. Considering the Virginia state legilature was unwilling to even discuss marriage equality, will employment protection for LGBT workers even make it to the table?

Equality Virginia hopes so. Today they announced that on Thursday, state legislators will be introduced to legislation providing workplace protections for LGBT employees.
