The latest cause Cyndi (as well as Elton John, Idina Menzel, Wanda Sykes and Rachael Harris) lend their voices to is the scourge of hate crimes afflicting the contemporary world. Whether or not Sir Elton's appearance is an effort to regain some credit in the straight gay world, the collection of household names coming out to fight during a period of increased need in the community is invaluable.

Constance McMillen is quickly becoming the face of discriminated GLBT high school students, and recently appeared on The Wanda Sykes Show to discuss the Mississippi school prom that was cancelled after she asked to bring her girlfriend and wear a tuxedo.

In related news, Wanda will recieve a prestigious award from GLAAD in LA on April 17, and has invited Constance and her girlfriend to be the presenters of the award. Kudos, Wanda!

It was a delicious diva trifecta over the weekend at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center's 38th Annual Gala. The big Pikachu herself Chelsea Handler handed out awards to no less than two hysterical women: Wanda Sykes and Miss Coco Peru.
