In an effort to protect religious freedom (seriously), Republicans in Washington state have filed a bill that would give businesses the right to deny services on the basis of religious belief.

As gay and lesbian Washingtonians celebrate the legalization of same-sex marriage by getting hitched, one powerful heterosexual married couple in the state seems to be in disagreement.

Washington state's Attorney General Rob McKenna and his wife, Marilyn, are having a pretty public difference of opinion on the issue of marriage equlaity and we're, admittedly, pretty excited about it!

While news out of Minnesota is bleak, it appears that the fight for equality is steaming straight ahead in Washington state!

Polls are showing that 56 percent of Washington voters are now in favor of marriage equality, which is an extremely promising sign for the state's voter referendum in November.
