As you can tell from our extensive summer coverage, we love our male Olympians—especially the out gay ones that are bringing visibility to our community.
With the Winter Olympics right around the corner in Sochi, Russia, we've already got our eye on an out gay athlete from New Zealand and he needs our help!
Kiwi speed skater Blake Skjellerup is in the running for the AMP People's Choice Scholarship (funded by a New Zealand bank). Our votes can get him the funding he needs to pay for his training and equipment and Olympic trainers and coaches. More after the jump!

Openly gay athletes hoping to take part in the 2014 Winter Games are getting mixed messages of support from their Russian hosts and the International Olympic Committee (IOC). After officials in Sochi, Russia defied the Olympic Charter to further the country's descent into anti-gay madness by banning Pride House, activists have started to demand intervention from the IOC. Sad news.
The Bronx Community Pride Center will close its doors after 16 years of providing health care, job-readiness training, support groups, case management, and cultural activities to the Bronx LGBT community.
This comes two weeks after the arrest of Lisa Winters, the former executive director of the center, who has been charged with embezzling $338,000 from the nonprofit.

A Russian judge has given a middle finger to international gay athletes by ruling that the modern tradition of a Pride House in Olympic cities will not find a home at the 2014 games in Sochi. Why? Because the judge has determined that an inclusive spot welcoming international athletes would harm children and end Russia as we know it. Details follow.

And so, last but not least, we had to give it up for the true diva on the ice, the guy all that daddies are a twitter over, Johnny Weir.
Totally robbed at judging this year, Johnny may not have made it to the podium—but he skated his ass off! Bravo Johnny!
And just think of it this way guys, we’re that much closer to 2012 Summer!!

Either straight out of an Abercrombie catalog or down south in Texas. Either way, at 6'2" and push 225 pounds, this guy is pure muscle (and does quite a job of filling out that suit, huh?)
