DC Comics has decided that the more Marys, the mary-er.
Though last year the major comic brand said Batwoman would be its only LGBT character for some time, over the weekend DC higher-ups announced a change of heart; another major DC character who was previously thought to be straight will come out of the closet!
But which one?

So ever since NBC's questionable casting choice of Adrianne Palicki ricocheted across the blogs penned by Wonder Woman's longest-running fan-base (the gays), the demographic the TV reboot of the cult comic hero was aiming for was unclear. But now, with the announcement that 90s fratboy-fantasy star Elizabeth Hurley will play the show's kind-of-lesbian villain Veronica Cale (who might possess unrequited Sapphic chemistry with our leading lady), the viewers the show hopes to get is clear: 18 - 45-year old straight boys and 16 - 75-year old lesbians. Sorry, gays.
Reads the casting breakdown for Veronica Cale:
"Female, open ethnicity, late 30s to early 40s. Beautiful, highly-educated, highly accomplished, she runs one of the biggest pharmaceutical... FULL STORY

Adrianne Palicki.
While you scratch the spiked skinny-soy double-mocha froth from your chiseled chins and stare blankly at the screen (or are we the only ones doing that?), clueless to who the actress stealing one of our most cherished characters is, let us quickly inform you: Adrianne was most recently seen on Fox's critically-lauded but ultimately doomed Lone Star.
Before her stint on TV's biggest punchline of the 2010-11 season, Adrianne starred on the cult-favorite Friday Night Lights.
Deadline is reporting that the decision to cast the iconic role was swift and decisive as Adrianne was the only actress invited for a screen test.
Don't worry, Adrianne -- we'll give you a chance to swing your golden lasso around our... FULL STORY

Wonder Woman might return to TV, courtesy of Warner Brothers.
Though D.C.'s iconic female superhero has suffered from a decade's worth of failed negotiations to mark her move to the big screen, after a deal announced over the weekend it's more likely the Lasso-lovin' unitard-rockin' Wonder Woman will reignite our love affair for chunky gold bracelets via good ol' television.
Almost as worthy of a twirl itself is the writer/producer attached to the project: David E. Kelley, known for quirky legal dramedies like Ally McBeal and Boston Legal.
With Kelley part of the TV-slated project, Wonder Woman's return is nearly a sealed deal.
But who should play our beloved superhero?

Tags: comics, wonder woman, makeover Say goodbye to the skirt. DC Comics has given Wonder Woman a pants-suit makeover that affords the iconic superhero a more mature look. An odd choice of timing for an "update," given that the camel-toe leotard-look Wonder Woman made popular in the 70s is all the rage right now. No bueno, we say. But we guess we can deal as long as the bitch can still twirl and don her tiara.
Do you like Wonder Woman's new look?
