The NHL has scored big today with a historic announcement revealing its new partnership with the LGBT-sports organization You Can Play. It marks the first relationship You Can Play has formed with a major professional North American sports league.

"You know someone who is gay ... they just haven't told you yet," the buzzworthy Macklemore tells viewers in the newest video for the "You Can Play" pro-LGBT in sports project.

After sitting out for three games as part of his punishment, Toronto Blue Jay Yunel Escobar returned to the field last night sans eye black and was greeted with an opening pitch from openly gay former MLS player David Testo.
