ImageThere aren't many blind superheroes (with apologies to Daredevil), and there are even fewer gay, blind superheroes. (Okay, maybe Destiny, but sort of.)

One of our pals at Prism Comics, Tommy Roddy, created an awesome comic called Pride High which features a 15-year-old, straight-A, blind lesbian student superheroine named Suravi. Roddy was recently awarded by BFLAG (Blind Friends, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender People) at their 2007 conference for creating the character.

We've read a couple issues, and can't recommend them enough! Get thyself to a comic book shop (or website) posthaste!!
