 Yahoo! Sports reports that the British media is being less than kind about David Beckham's new home team, the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Here's just a sample of the digs the Brit journos are dishing out to the golden-haired hottie, who sat a recent game out because of an ankle injury:
From The Sun: "...Last week he stated his ambition was to take U.S. football to a different level. Little did he realise that on the evidence of Galaxy's 3-0 home defeat against Mexican side Tigres, lifting them to a level of rock bottom would be an achievement."
Meanwhile, the New York Post called his wife Victoria's NBC special, which aired Monday night, "an orgy of self-indulgence," while labeling the Posh one as "vapid and condescending." Eek! Perhaps the Beckham's -- or at least Victoria -- will fare better Stateside in December when the Spice Girls reunion tour rolls through L.A., Las Vegas and New York City. Then again, since they're pulling names out of a hat for the "lucky" concert-goers rather than issuing everyone a fair chance on Ticketmaster, it may just be salt in the wounds of Spice fans.
