If you've not checked the news or gossip blogs lately (and good for you!), you might've missed that Ellen and Portia de Rossi are planning to wed. But, Hoo-ray! Our fave out celeb daddy, George Takei, is getting married, too, to longtime BF Brad Altman.

George took to his blog to announce the news, stating, "Brad and I have shared our lives together for over 21 years. We've worked in partnership; he manages the business side of my career and I do the performing. We've traveled the world together from Europe to Asia to Australia. We've shared the good times as well as struggled through the bad." You can read the rest of his statement on his official site.

That's exciting, but, Hmmm...wonder what George's hardass, tough-as-nails character Kaito Nakamura on Heroes would make of this?

Regardless, another reason to get excited is that a little birdie tells us Heroes season two DVD will be out by summer's end! Break out the champers!
